Cathy has been working with couples as a licensed therapist for over 22 years. She specializes in helping couples improve their relationships by helping them understand their patterns that contribute to unhealthy interactions and then teaches how to manage these situations in a healthier way. While working with Cathy you will learn to communicate and listen effectively, manage conflict without fighting, how to reconnect both emotionally and physically, learn your partner’s love language, how to negotiate and compromise when you don’t agree on a solution, and all the essentials for having a happier more connected marriage/relationships. Cathy has been married for 18 years and has two children.

Cathy has also helped many couples work through the pain of infidelity to get their relationships back on track. She helps couples improve communication, learn how to let go of past resentments, and rebuild trust that has been broken. She supports couples in keeping their marriages harmonious so that they both feel happier.

She also works with women and men individually dealing with work stress, self-esteem issues, parenting, divorce, grief, money issues, illness, depression and anxiety. Give Cathy a call for a free consultation if you have questions about counseling and how it may help you.

Cathy’s Philosophy

Cathy creates a safe and comfortable atmosphere for couples and individuals to explore dynamics that are impacting their lives in a negative way. She uses humor, empathy, and honesty with her clients to help them reach their goals in counseling. She works collaboratively with her clients in approaching the problems with both understanding and compassion.

Cathy is trained in research-based couple’s counseling techniques by John Gottman, Ph.D. She uses various interventions from his research to help couples achieve a higher level of emotional intimacy and love in their relationship. Cathy also uses some of her training from Harville Hendrix Imago workshops when she teaches couples how to improve their communication and romance in their relationships.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused therapy is used with both individuals and couples to help them reduce anxiety and depression that may be affecting their lives negatively.

Cathy also has extensive background working with teens and adolescents. She was a previous middle school counselor for many years locally and has a clear understanding of the challenges that adolescents can have on both a family and teens. She enjoys creating a “safe” place for teens to explore their feelings and decisions during the roller coaster time in life.

Stephanie Buckley

Stephanie Buckley

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
#AMFT147538

Stephanie Buckley is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) specializing in Solution-Focused Therapy for individuals and families navigating ADHD, ADD, and OCD. Rather than focusing on past struggles, she helps clients identify strengths, build practical strategies, and create positive change.

For example, a client with ADHD struggling with homework might recall a time they successfully completed an assignment. By identifying what worked—such as using a timer or a quiet space—Stephanie helps them replicate and build on that success, making progress achievable.

Offering both in-person and telehealth sessions, Stephanie works with children, adolescents, young adults, and families, guiding them toward real solutions that improve focus, communication, and daily functioning. She also partners with schools and community organizations, providing strategies to support neurodivergent individuals.

Through a goal-oriented, strengths-based approach, Stephanie helps clients shift their focus from problems to possibilities—creating structure, resilience, and lasting change.
